The SRA Standards and Regulations 2019 permit freelance solicitors to provide both reserved and non-reserved legal services directly to clients with and without professional indemnity insurance respectively. I have listed below those legal services that I can provide directly to you. However, there are reserved legal services that can be provided by me but via an SRA-regulated firm of solicitors. Reserved legal service clients are, therefore, additionally protected by the Professional Indemnity Insurance of the regulated firm. These service include conveyancing services such as property purchases, sales, remortgages and many more.

  • Helping you to understand the legal process and your rights when dealing with tenant evictions, assisting in issuing Section 21 or Section 8 Notices (for assured shorthold tenancies). Providing insights into the legal criteria required for eviction, such as grounds for possession or breach of terms. Considering the upcoming legislation changes with the Renters Rights Bill and how these coud affect you.

For the above-listed services, I have adequate and appropriate professional indemnity insurance in place to provide the services and products. My professional indemnity insurance liability limit is £500,000. You may be barred from making claims against the Compensation Fund if there is a problem with your legal matter.

I do not hold client money. Therefore, I do not provide services that involve the holding of client money or checking anti-money laundering regulations, or the following reserved legal services that I will provide via an SRA-regulated firm whom I work as a consultant: -

1. conveyancing services involving selling and buying property;

2. litigation;

3. business and share sale where holding client money is involved; and

4. any other contentious or high-risk reserved legal services.
